Great AC for small to medium rooms

I purchased this unit for my daughters room which is over our garage, and during the summer in Texas her room is always 10 to 15 degrees cooler than any other room in the house. I installed this unit and it really did the job. I turned it on, and in a couple of hours it had already dropped the temperature 5 degrees. Considering this had the heat trapped in the garage coming up through the floor it is a good working product. Now it was a bit much to expect it to get the room to 70 degrees, but the mid 70s was definitely doable and that was a heck of a lot better than 82 which is what it was.

This air conditioner was purchased to cool my home office down which was running several servers and was really getting the whole basement hot. When I received the unit, I couldn't believe how easy it was to setup.
The only thing that I didn't think of was how to exhaust the unit. Cold air blowing out one end and hot air out of the other. This was my fault though. I ended up exhausting the unit through the wall into an unfinished part of the basement. After this everything dropped to extremely cold and I had to set the temperature higher. Now everything is the exact temperature I want.
Love, love, love this unit. Now...Let's see how it holds up over time.

I love my Edgestar portable air conditioner very powerful when it was 99 degrees and very humid it did its job cooled and took out the moisture so I and my crritters were very comdortable also your shipping was as you stated on time and no charge a winner will defintely shop with you again

Best Uses: Bed Room cooling
I have an older home with a rather large master bedroom (14x17). Unfortunately, it's the room furthest away from the central AC blower, so gets very little cool air. This unit was perfect. I'm fairly handy, so installing the exhaust was pretty easy. The little "slide adjustment" for the window could have been a little bit longer as my windows are fairly wide, but turned out okay with the use of a little duct tape. I usually turn it on about an hour before bedtime, and it really does the trick. Would recommend this AC to anyone.

This has satisfied our needs at a fraction of the cost of central!
We already had an 8000 btu unit, and used it downstairs. We have a 26 ft ceiling in our LR, and te 12,000 does the trick.

Very good product. Does what it is suppose to do. Only complaint is that the exhaust hose is way to short. If they gave you twice the length the product would be perfect. I use it in a class 8 truck to cool then interior when I am parked. It works great.

I love this portable air conditioner, This is the way to go! You can move this to any room, It's so easy to use. I hope to buy another one or two within the next year. And I would and already have recommended this item to other people. One of the best purchases I have made in the past year or so. I researched different portable air conditioners in the last few months before I purchased it, I recommend you do the same.

This is the first time I have ever bought a portable Air Conditioning unit and I have to say its excellent. The Mobility is really convenient. I can move it from the bedroom to the living room in minutes with ease beccause of the casters on the bottom.
The window exhaust fits perfectly and they actually make it long enought to fit standard windows.
The only exception to the A/C unit is it is not as quiet as I would like but when its 95 degrees out and its 105 humiditiy inside I sleep alot better and you get used to the sound of it.

This has been a lifesaver for me as lightning took out my A/C unit last year. I could not have stayed in my house this summer without it. I found the installation to be a little difficult with very large or very small windows as I have both. I did it myself so it couldn't have been too bad. Waterproof duct tape is a good thing to have available.
The controls are easy to use and the remote it great at night so you don't have to get out to bed.
Once I move to another house with A/C, I plan to use my two units in the garage or as a supplement when full A/C is not needed. I would definitely buy this product again if needed.

Over all I am very pleased with the product. I bought one last year and another this year. I have one upstairs and one downstairs. ( I have base board heat) I actually have to turn one off or up, I sometimes get chilled. My only complaint is with the window panels. I have vertical sliders and need all 3 panels and I would prefer having the vent hole at the bottom and had to do some cutting to make that happen. A slight modification on your part could solve this problem.

Best Uses: Living Room cooling
We really haven't used it for very long, but the time we used it we were very happy with it. We are elderly and just can't put a window air conditioner in and out any more. It was delivered to our house took it out of the box, my husband put the holder into the window attached the hose and we were on our way. For the winter we will roll it into a closet and store it for the winter.

I was very skeptical with buying something this large online but after reading reviews and also having a friend of mine that had bought one about 2 months ago and told me how good hers was, I finally took a chance and am pleased to say how satisfied I am with this unit. It cools a open area kitchen and living room roughly 450 square foot with no trouble. I'm happy to not have to drain this unit as I do with a different unit used in a family room from a different company. Delivery was fast and right on target as told in comfirmation email notice. This portable a/c was very easy to install in a double hung window and had it operating in less than 30 minutes after opening carton.I will most likely purchase another unit for my bedroom. I recommend compact appliance and edgestar a/c units. Great alternative when central air is not possable.
