This unit is in a room that has alot of appliances and hardware that give off lots of heat and a flat roof. After installing the BPC08CJ Portable air conditioning unit my main AC now only has to work half the time.

A Blast of Cool!!

Wow. What a blast of cold air I received from this Black and Decker air conditioner! The unit cooled down the bedroom in just a few minutes and kept the temperature cool for a number of hours.
It was a little difficult to install the venting system by myself, but once I got past that stage, the rest of hte installation was a no-brainer. This air conditioning unit was a really good value for the money I invested in it. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family!

This portable air conditioner from Black & Decker works great. At only 8000 BTU's, it quickly cools smaller rooms. The three fan speeds is also an added plus, I like to keep it on low if I'm in the room and turn it up when I leave. This unit also works as a dehumidifier, at under $300 you can't go wrong!

This product works great! Had a little bit of difficulty setting up the window venting feature but other than that it works great. Blows cold air like it is intended to do. I would recommend this product to friends and family!

The unit is heavy and slightly louder than your avg window unit but its good quality and easy to use/maintain. Best for a room of around 300 sq ft. The only improvement I would suggest to the B&D engineers would be to make the window bracket wider to accomodate windows up to 5 ft.

very loud! It does the job well though. the window assembly is not air tight, i had to use metal tape around the whole thing. Im still going to get one for my sons room.. it coolsry very well
