So Far, So Good

Date:May 11, 2012
Best Uses: 2nd Refrigerator
So far, I haven't had any problems with this unit. The freezer works well-much better than I expected-and hasn't frozen over. It makes so little noise that I hardly notice it. It keeps my food fresh. I haven't had it for very long, but I have no complaints.

Great little unit!

Date:May 6, 2012
Best Uses: 2nd Refrigerator, Small Kitchen, Dorm Room, Garage, Game Room, Bar, Office
I bought this fridge to use in my home office after my previous one (a different brand) stopped working. Having a quiet unit was important to me, and this is extremely quiet. I had been using my old fridge just to store soft drinks in, as well as for storing extra cartons of milk and other overflow from our kitchen fridge.
Because this has a freezer, as well, I plan to use it to store frozen meals and treats that fit with my upcoming diet. I hope it will help my stay out of our main fridge!

Love it! Look No Further...

Date:May 2, 2012
Best Uses: Small Kitchen
Wow, I love this little refrigerator!! It holds more than you think!! I put two boxes of Frozon Eggo Waffles, 3 small round ice cream containers, package of bacon, 6 chicken breasts, 2 salmon steaks, 1 large code fish, and in the door a pack of hot dogs, and still had plenty of room to add a few more small things in there! The inside of the refrigerator is the same Thing!! I packed it full!
I considered buying so man other models from other sellers, however, this refrigerator set itself apart by be a 0 freezer and yes my ice cream is frozen hard yet eatable! I considered the shipping of the item and when you add it all up the CA company had the best prices, and let me tell you the fastest shipping I have ever seen!!! They said 2 weeks but mine came the next day after I ordered it! In less than 48 hours it was arriving at my door steps!! It was packed safe and sound in two boxes!! It was easy to bring into the home, easy to install by plugging it in. It's quite right next to the bed for those of you who are light sleepers! Well enough reading here go ahead and get yours too! Save your time and money get this model from this company!!!!
If I had to pick a negative thing to say it would be that it does build up ice so I wish it was frost free or more frost free! It comes with a ice scraper and I have used it to remove ice inside the refreg, not the freezer so far. But it did not lower my stars because works amazingly!!
Thank you CA for a great item! Online shopping made easy!! :-)

I researched capacities ranging from 3.1 to 3.4 cu.ft and there is not much difference. This one is Energy Star and quiet. Freezer has not ice buildup yet keeps everything frozen. Product arrived with no damage and was adequately wrapped. Overall, good purchase.

Replaced a Frigidare unit we bought when Katrina Hurricane made house ref temporaly unusable. It lasted 6 years no complaints. Used it daily to keep extra frozen dinners and perishable food products. Will use this one same way but hopefully not because of the one replacing.

Big little box.

Date:February 6, 2012
Best Uses: RV / Boat cooling
This little refrigerator functions just like a large refrigerator. The separate freezer really does stay at zero degrees and the refrigerator portion works just as well independently of the freezer.
It is amazingly quiet and is almost imperceptible when running.

Love it

In order to put 2 liter bottles in it I had to remove the crisper and tray, but now it holds 3- 2 liters and a shelf for bread and stuff.
It freezes two trays of ice in several hours.

Disappointment-FREE Purchase

Date:January 6, 2012
Best Uses: Small Kitchen, Dorm Room, Garage, Game Room, Office
I rarely give reviews of products I purchase, but this product deserves a nod. It is everything they said it would be. It looks great and WORKS just like it is supposed to. And, it is quiet. I have it in the same area that I sleep in and 99% of the time you don't hear anything. When it does it's little thing you might hear a little trickling sound and a little hum which last for a very short time and then it's quite again. The freezer holds "a lot" of food. It's just a mini-fridge, but you can also use the top as a table top to eat or serve from. I love it and am very glad I made the choice.

Well worth the few extra dollars

Date:December 7, 2011
Best Uses: 2nd Refrigerator, Small Kitchen, Dorm Room, Garage, Game Room, Bar, Office
I selected this unit for it's separate freezer compartment; because the description read "true zero temp freezer"; the other models didn't make this claim. I left it at the factory setting (in the middle of the range), and it works beautifully. Ice sets up in the freezer in about six hours, and the freezer is large enough to store a few small frozen entrees or leftovers. The lower refrigerator section is only a smidge smaller than usual; not much space is sacrificed to have the separate freezer, which is a real advantage. Everything I used to store in my old mini-fridge fits this unit, with the exception of a water filter pitcher. It's a small compromise considering that ice is available whenever I want it. One shelf is adjustable, but only to two positions that are quite close to eachother; but I manage to fit everything else, sot that's not an issue for me. The door has a built in soda can holder, which I use; which may be a slight drawback for people who don't drink canned soft drinks. The unit is as quiet as a mini-fridge can be, which is important since I live in a studio with a galley kitchen near my sleep area. It isn't "frost free" but I've been using it for a couple of months and the buildup is minimal. My old unit would be a solid block of glacier by now. As an added bonus, it has an inside light! This unit is well worth the few extra dollars it costs. It works perfectly.

I was waffling between a few options and finally bought this compact fridge/freezer. I bought it A) because someone mentioned how well packaged the unit was -- and it was, B) because it was quiet -- it is, C) because it is stylish looking AND easy to clean -- yep, D) has a good amount of space in both compartments and, D) despite only having one control in the fridge that sets both the fridge and freezer temperature, it still does a great job regulating proper temperature.

Excellent purchase

I spent a week researching compact fridge units online... I knew I wanted one with a separate freezer compartment. I am so glad I chose this item as it is pretty darn close to perfect. Shipping was VERY fast and the item was packaged VERY well - no problems with any damage or anything. It looks very professional as well. It is currently being used as a personal fridge and sits happily in the corner of my bedroom. The only negative I have is that the freezer isn't quite as cold as I would have liked it to be. Everything is frozen - but not frozen as solid as I would expect. I have been playing with the temperature control (it's currently at 5) so I may see what turning it to the max does. Granted, this is in an attic room in a house that has no air conditioning in July/August. Great product - would buy again!

Great fit for our organization

Best Uses: 2nd Refrigerator, Small Kitchen, Dorm Room, Garage, Game Room, Bar, Office
The Edge Star 3.2 Cu. Ft. Fridge/Freezer is a perfect fit for our Senior Community's apartments. The fridge fits into our built in kitchenettes and provides the resident with a separate freezer for ice and ice cream, and the fridge is just the right size to hold an individual's cold drinks, milk, small sized containers of perishable items. We have installed these fridge/freezers in 50 plus units. They have an up to date, hiqh quality look and are almost always available within 5 days or less from date of order.

Excellent mini-fridge

Date:January 19, 2011
Best Uses: Dorm Room, Game Room
I am the manager of a small motel on the north coast of Oregon and had a couple of mini-fridges break down that were in a couple of guest rooms . I did some searching around and came across this particular one. I wanted a mini-fridge that was spacious, quiet, and had a separate freezer section that was spacious enough to put frozen foods in - not just a ice cube tray. This was the one. When it arrived I opened it up and found that they did an excellent job in packing it quite well with the fridge in a box within a box separated with foam in the corners. I look forward to having it serve my customers who rent those particular rooms for years to come.

Frozen Ice Cream

Date:September 30, 2010
Best Uses: Dorm Room, Garage, Game Room, Bar, Office, RV / Boat cooling
Yes, FINALLY! I have a small ref/freezer that freezes my ice cream bars and keeps them solid! I was surprised at the humming noise it makes which I am always aware of but it is more like a white noise than an annoying one so does not keep me awake. It's in my bedroom. The one change I would make is to have more shelf room in the door instead of all that space for cans. Separate controls would be nice but doubt if any refrig/freezer that size has that. Everything else is perfect. It is quite attractive. Easy to open and close doors too. This is my fourth try and I am finally happy!

Great product----Easy set up, packed very protectively and a nice looking unit. It is very quiet and works perfectly. The delivery was even faster than anticipated.

good dorm frig

This model has a nice-size freezer which makes life easier for a first year med student with no meal plan. Have a little problem, assuming that there wouldn't be enough power to cool the unit, but actually froze some produce, so I had to turn the thermonstat down. It is functioning without any problem since its arrival in August. I will write another review in a year!
