Pros: Easy To Load, Large Capacity, Fast Cycle, Multiple Settings, Quiet
Cons: Wish it had dry cycle
I am in a wheelchair and can't stand up to wash dishes.
I live in independent living facility and this fits my needs perfect.
Would recommend this to anyone needing a small compact dishwasher.

Better than I couldv'e imagined!
Date:June 23, 2008
Pros: Quiet, Easy To Load, Thoroughly Cleans, Fast Cycle
When I bought this, I just hoped it would take a small portion of the workload. It's fast cycles clean very thoroughly. It cleans most of my dishes(which is quite a bit considering I have 2 children under two) I recommend this dishwasher to anyone with not much space in their home and lots of other obligations.

Great product 5-STARS!!!
Date:June 21, 2008
Pros: Easy To Load, Quiet, Fast Cycle, Large Capacity, Multiple Settings
This product was a very good purchase. I am an agressive consumer. I am always buying something for my home and lifestyle. To be honest, I am frequently dissappointed with alot of the products out there today. This dishwasher is has made me feel great about my decision to purchase. It is very durable,non-leaking,managable,stylish, and is easy to use. It hooks up to my sink in a matter of seconds. I would not change anything about this dishwasher.

I am so glad that I found this.
Date:May 28, 2008
Pros: Easy To Load
This counter top dishwasher is perfect in my studio apt. I don't have a dishwasher and had to wash my dishes by hand in the sink. I found myself piling up the dirty dishes in the sink and not get around to washing them right away. My kitchen is very small and can only fit one person at a time in it. The portable dishwasher fits just right on my counter and does a great job on getting the dishes clean. I love it!

Wonderful unit
Date:June 10, 2007
Pros: Easy To Load, Multiple Settings, Large Capacity, dependable, Quiet
Cons: None for me
I have had the previous model DDW399W which is essentially the same for the past 5 years. I have never had a problem with it. I have found that recently I use it 2X a day on the short cycle and it works just as well as the longer cycle. It does such a great job that I have never had the reason to use the sani-wash cycle, except to try it.

Best Ever! Better than traditional units
Date:April 22, 2007
Pros: Quiet, Multiple Settings, Easy To Load
Really great. It works better than my undercounter model. The stainless interior really stays clean. Uses way less soap and water than normal dishwashers. Truly a gem!!!

Best addition to my small kitchen
Date:November 3, 2006
Pros: Easy To Load, Multiple Settings
I've owned this model for four years, and have never had an issue with it. I'd recommend it for apartment dwellers who don't have a dishwasher and hate washing dishes in the sink.

good product
Date:July 11, 2008
Pros: Easy To Load, Fast Cycle, Quiet
This is a very good dishwasher for the single person. Easy to connect, and cleans well as long as one follows the instructions for the manual. The only disappointment was the lack of explanation for the settings; although a small amount to deduction is all that is needed to figure out.

Pros: Quiet even as a portable
Cons: No automatic shutoff
Just love this product. It fits my need perfectly for a casual cook. I had some questions about the dial and received answers from customer service. Surprised by performance that it gives. Would recommend highly.

Use silicone for repairs
Date:July 9, 2007
Pros: Quiet, Easy To Load
I've kept this dishwasher going for four years. I love it when it works, but it starts leaking and then I've got 4-6 months of problems. I replaced the inner door once, the gasket a couple of times around the window. . . finally I secured it with silicone gel and it has worked like magic. I've definitely learned a lot about how to fix things from this model. It requires a lot of patience! Still, I'm a happy customer.

Great Buy
Date:January 2, 2007
Pros: Easy To Load, Asthetically pleasing, Energy Efficient, Quiet
Cons: a, Not Powerful Enough
Excellent for apartment dwellers with no real dishwasher. I love to cook, and my fiancee hates doing dishes. Its not as powerful as a real dishwasher, so you do need a little pre-rinse sometimes. But overall, you get what you pay for. A cheap, dependable, workable, way to make someone else do the dishes.

I am happy.
Date:November 26, 2006
I purchased this at a thrift store. It didn't come with a manual nor a hookup to the sink, however it was easy enough to find a quick connect at the 99 cent store to connect to a hose. It took me a while to figure out what the machine was doing, I thought the timer was broke. Seems the sensor inside limits the timer when temperature is low and the Sani button is pushed. The machine wouldn't knock all the egg off a frying pan, but if you stop it half way in the cycle and pull the pan out and wipe, it all comes clean. The design is the same as the industrial washer at work, only a little smaller. This is a good buy for the bachlor.

Not sure it's worth it.
Date:March 21, 2007
Pros: Easy To Load
Cons: Not Powerful Enough, Long Cycle, Noisy
I had two of these and I loved them. Really. When they worked. The first one broke down after 18 months and I had to fight with the warranty company ([...]- a separate company) and write a letter to the BBB to get reimbursed. The second one broke down in about a year and I was extra careful the second time round. I really liked it while it worked. I just wish it worked better.

Reconsider
Date:October 28, 2006
Pros: Easy To Load
Cons: Noisy
Pro: IT WASHES DISHES! And inexpensive.
Cons: The dishrack should be redesigned. The openings are too large. The heater button and Off/On button were switched. The water strainer lets everything through except cutlery. The attachment to the faucet means that I can no longer use my expensive water filter. Mechanical cycle selector is wearing out.
This is a fine dishwasher for a DIYer, who likes customizing appliances because this appliance will not work well unless modified. I would not recommend this model.

so disappointed in this product
Date:May 18, 2007
Pros: It is Quite but Junk
Cons: Repairs are not worth it, Junk waiting to happen, Breakes down often
Love to cook hate to wash dishes live in smaller than small apartment. I recieved this product as a gift for the holidays. I really wanted this dishwasher. Mortor stopped twice within a year and only after maybe twenty uses per each repair. This is a piece of junk I am very unhappy with this product and Danby repersentitives for not having the motor to fix this product. Looking for a better company and product.

Breaks down often
Date:October 23, 2006
Pros: Fits under kit cabinets
Cons: Not made to last
I purchased two of these dishwashers because Danby was the only brand that fit under my cabinets. Both broke within 9 months and the cost of getting them fixed is about the same as getting a new one. [...] Don't waste your money.
