the product works welll and has received coments as to when did you put a real frire place in your house, Enought heat to take the chill out with out turning up the house heat. realistic looking logs and flame.

A Fake Flame That Does Look Realistic

After having our rec room fireplace chimney capped and having flickering lights mounted on fake fire logs as a display for the past ten years my wife and I decided on something more realistic. Also since we have a central heating system we thought it would also make since instead of heating the whole house just to increase the warmth in the rec room we decided to go with the Dimplex DFI2310 Fireplace Insert with the two position electric heater system. After installing the insert and using our glass fire screen to cover the opening all we can say is that this manufacturer sure can make this fake fireplace insert look realistic. We are amazed on how realistic this looks to an actual fireplace as I am in my seventies and it doesn't require any work to keep our 480 sq ft rec room warm other then using the fireplace remote and the switch panel located on the top of the insert to turn the heater on low or high heat to keep the rec room pleasant to relax in. Maximum wattage for this fireplace insert is just less than 1400 watts. We couldn't be more happier with this Dimplex DFI2310 110 volt Fireplace Insert.

Still "up in the air"

So far, the fireplace seems like a quality piece of equipment. I have unpacked it and placed it in the masonry fireplace in our house but haven't hooked it up yet. I haven't even turned it on yet to check noise level, heat output, etc. Within a few weeks I'll have it functional and will let you know then (if you remind me asking for a detailed rating).
