This compact, ultra light weight little washing machine performs like a full size washer requiring only a minimum amount of space. Fully automatic and whisper quiet it has been a joy using this machine. From washing towels to jeans to delicates and anything in between, we have not been disappointed with the results. This machine works awesome. Don't let the size deceive you. It washes a whole sheet set. I've even done 5 pairs of jeans at once. Cleans well and offers all of the options the larger more expensive machines do.

...that does the trick. For the smallest washer I could find on the market, this little machine does a fine job. I don't plan on filling it with mechanics overalls, but for regular clothes - some with barn dirt, it works just dandy.
I have to remember not to overfill it, but when I watch the load capacity
everything comes out bright and clean. I use only Purex Free liquid or LEO's all natural laundry powder, from New Hampshire. We live in a LITTLE cabin, so the size was important. I tuck it away until ready to use and roll it over to the bathtub - yes, it's a horse trough!. A quick hook up and I'm in the 20th century! As it comes with the casters, I didn't have to spend any extra money, just open the box and it's ready to use!

This machine is nice for an apartment, even a small one. It will not wash a large load, but it is great if you don't mind doing laundry every few days or live alone. It is easy to install, and the customer service number was very helpful. It is well worth the money, if you are not located very close to the laundry room in your complex because it saves a lot of back and forth from your apartment to the laundry area.

I live in a small 2 bedroom apartment, which I share with a care giver. We talked about the advatages of having a small wash machine in the apartment.
The laundry room is right across from my apartment, even at that there are times, when we need to wait for access to an empty wash machine or dryer.
The price of doing laundry was going up, to where we were spending 50.00 a month in quarters just for laundry. There seemed to be the panic run for quarters at least twice a month.
When I saw the Haier 1.0 cubic wash machine, I knew it would fit right in the corner of my dining room and I could roll it right up to the kitchen sink.
That little work horse arrived 12 days ago and contiues to surprise me. Noise, What noise, I hear the water going in and out and a little of the swishing, but other than that there is no noise,
The laundry comes out clean and smells clean. I followed the direction and was amazed at how much old detergents were still left in my clothes from using the commuinity washers.
My clothes are softer, I still use a sheet of clothes softern in a load of was, but I, cut a sheet of softener in 4 pieces and only use a 1/4 to a 1/2 . I have even washed a full side sheet and 6 pillow cases and they are clean and sweet smelling.
I will use the laundry room for the queen size beding and to dry clothes that do not spin dry enough to hang on my drying rack to dry.
The Haier is by one of the best purchases that has been made in a long time. Thanks to the company for a job well done.

I used to hate doing laundry because my complex didn't even have laundry facilities. That meant lugging my laundry up and down the stairs and then loading in to my car to take to a laundromat. My place is really small but this washer fit with no problem. Within 25 minutes of getting it out of the box I was washing clothes. It is so easy to use and surprisingly quiet. I am so happy with this purchase. Got the matching dryer which was equally as easy to set up and use. I am also very happy with compactappliance.com. Great price and fast, free shipping!

First, I did not know who Haier was. Never had heard of that company, so I was alittle apprehensive. So I went to various web sites and read up on Haier and became convienced that this machine was the one I needed. I live in an apartment, the size of a large dog house. Had plenty of room for it. When I was growing up my brother always told me to never overfill the washer. So I am patient and always load lightly. I am so happy with my new washer. Easy to set up after delivery and washes my clothes clean and fresh. I am so very pleased with this purchase that soon I will be buying the dryer to go with it. Yes I would recommend this washer for anyone with limited space and it washes great!!

A really nice design. The "automatic water level" feature doesn't seem to apply to the model I got, but it's got a nice manual setting range from very small to full loads.
I really like the agitator-less design. It makes efficient use of the drum capacity, and works like a champ.
Quick or normal cycles seem fine, and don't take too long. It spins well without moving across the floor, which is remarkable since I usually don't lock the caster wheels. Of course, I wouldn't run any portable appliance without staying nearby. A water accident is just too damaging to a ceiling downstairs. :)

One day almost a year ago I read an article about how germs can remain in your washer and be spread to the next load of laundry. I pictured quite vividly all the many people who use the commercial washers in my apartment complex and decided I must have my own little washer in my apartment. I have been so pleased! I tell friends that the money I spent on my compact washer and then my compact dryer was the best use of my money in years. I calculated that the two machines would pay for themselves within six months. The freedom to do my laundry in my own apartment in lovely clean machines is incalculable. I wish I had bought one of these years ago, instead of spending extra to rent an apartment with a washer & dryer.
I have a toddler in cloth diapers, which became a major hassle when I moved to an apartment with coin-op facilities. This washer fits nicely in our studio apartment, seems to clean his diapers even better than a regular washer, and does a great job on everything else. (I do a typical "cold rinse-hot wash with soap-cold rinse" routine, and the washer's cycles allow that).
I disagree with those who say it fits a SET of king sized sheets. It really only fits 1 king-sized sheet. But it will fit 20 flat diapers, or a few outfits, or 2 thick bath towels.
It's excellent for delicates, to a degree: It does wash gently since there is no agitator. However, it twists things around each other so much that it could be a problem with things that shouldn't be stretched. Bras absolutely need to go in a mesh lingerie bag, or they get contorted in a way that encourages the wires to pop through.
I haven't found any way to keep it from twisting laundry around each other very badly. Some say that filling it halfway helps, I haven't found this to be the case. I put a lot of things in mesh bags to avoid getting knotted up.
It does unbalance a lot, which is probably in part because I don't have it sitting in one spot on the leveling legs. I have to wheel it around the bathroom, as many people probably do. I have discovered certain spots are more level than others, so they deliver less unbalancing.
The casters aren't really the right kind for something this heavy. It's difficult to wheel the machine even a few feet. It's also a bit disturbing that it comes with casters, but has a sticker on the side that says to avoid risk of fire, you should fasten the machine to a bare concrete floor.
The hardware that you screw into a faucet, to allow you to pop the water intake hose on and off, also isn't great. Since you remove the aerator, you're left with a crude pipe, so turning my bathroom sink on now creates a splashing rush of water. It's handy to pop the hose on and off but annoying to use the sink the rest of the time.
The outlet hose could stand to be a tiny bit longer. I like to drain the washer into the tub since I do diapers, and can make the hose drain straight into the drain without getting icky water on the tub ... but it's a difficult reach and I have to wedge the hose in place.
The spin dry is very, very good. I've ended up hanging stuff to dry, rather than running it upstairs to the dryer; an unexpected bonus. Pillow cases dry in about an hour, jeans overnight.

My Portable Haier.
I like this washer. Let me say a few things right up front.
Put the casters on the washer FIRST THING!!!
This is a SEMI automatic Washer and SHOULD NEVER BE LEFT UNATTENDED.
It is a Portable Washing Machine so it holds roughly one half the amount of laundry that a standard Top Loading Automatic at a commercial laundry-mat would hold.
The water must be turned off from the tap when the cycle starts and turned on again to refill. The manufacturer would be well advised to adapt a dishwasher type hose for this machine, which would be a little more heavy duty.
Do Yourself a favour and go to the hardware store and by a roll of Plumbers Teflon, or Teflon Tape. Wrap it around the threaded, male end, of the hose and attachments. Even with the Plumbers Teflon, if you don’t cut the water, there will be a fine spray which will be no end of annoying.
Look at the fill hose carefully. Mine was marked this end to washer and the other end is marked this end to faucet. Doing the reverse will make a mess! Hand Tighten the hose to the washer and LEAVE IT THERE. Do not use a wrench or any thing else to tighten it!
Now admittedly I am an Old Guy who is used to doing things in a different way. This washer is Pre Programmed. That means there are no timers or any thing like that. Starting it is a two-stage affair. Power on then set the cycle and load size and press start. The washer has no agitator and when it spins, it spins for about 30 seconds, then stops, then starts. It took me a while to get used to that.
Wash like sized items together. WASH TOWELS SEPERATELY. Apparently this little machine HAS NO LINT FILTER. Towel Lint on Your Dress shirts … Very Annoying. Also use care when removing your clothes from the machine. They will tangle.
When You are filling the Machine with HOT water, let the water heat up before attaching the hose to the faucet.
I was sick of lugging clothes to the lavanderia where patrons routinely pour ½ a box of detergent and stinky fabric softener into the commercial machines. When I wash, I use baking soda and borax. I am very allergic to perfumes so I am Very Grateful for this little washer. I have not added any detergent to the first few loads of clothes. I was very surprised to see the residue from the lavanderia.
It does a good job. It is a ½ Sized washing machine so don’t over load it. It is also a very quiet machine. I can barley hear it running.
