This ice maker has worked exactly as described, so far. I've had it about 3 weeks and have used it almost every day. I plug it in in the morning and 15 minutes later I have enough ice for my morning soda. It takes about 8 minutes per "load" of ice and 2 "loads" fill a 16 oz. glass.
2 things to remember. When you get it run 2 or 3 full cycles and throw out that ice. This may take a whole day but the first couple of "loads" taste like plastic and who knows what else. After that the ice is as fresh as the water you put in. Also, this is not a refrigeratot/freezer. The ice it makes will start to melt. So put ice in a cooler or whatever.
For 3 weeks I have been as happy as can be with this product.

Great unit have the ice machine in my RV does a fantastic job! Like the three different size of ice feature.Have had good luck with the Haier product line.

This was one of the best purchases that we have made...one because the ice maker is portable and you could take this anywhere you were going to stay that did not have an ice machine...this makes sense if you were camping or traveling...I dont have an ice maker in my freezer and we have been purchasing bags of ice...very costly...now I have not had to refill my ice maker container at all..keeps on making ice...love it just love it

Great product and the best I could find searching the web for this product. It was delivered very fast just a few days. The censer bar that detects how full it is, was broken where the screw goes to hold it in place. It has not effected the operation of the machine at all, so did not see a reason to return.

Have always wanted small commercial ice machine but they were too big and too much trouble(requires drain lines,electric line installed,ect.). This machine is perfect....3 size cube selection,fast production,high quality of Haier brand.
Storage is small but that keeps machine compact and storage is enough for days of personal use. I always transfer to my freezer (freeze for 10-15 minutes for light freeze and break so they don't clump together) so I can store as much as I need and turn off machine until I need more. It produces enough for summer cook outs or when you need large quanities of ice with freezer or cooler transfer. Also my last trick is to use distilled water so you get crystal clear ice cubes for drinks and commercial ice machine look. For the money, this is highly recommended for home bar, cook outs, and your own personal ice machine that you plug in....add water, select ice cube size and you're done.

I love this icemaker, I spend the winter in Florida in a motorhome and very little freezer space. When I saw this online I knew it was something I could really use. I love it and plan on using it at my home during the summer months.

This icemaker does exactly what the description said. Just plug it in and in less than 12 minutes it was making ice. New smell went away and ice taste good. I empty mine into the freezer to stock pile. We use it at our lake house and camper for extra ice. My ONLY suggestion is that the company somehow make the stopper in the drain attached so I can't lose it. Oh, and the drain is a plus to empty water when turned off, otherwise you'd have to dip it out.

I use this machine to supplement our ever-needed supply of ice cubes. The making of cubes is a bit faster by adding a few cubes to the fill water. I like the product and am impressed with the innovation to make cubes.

Works great....just a little noisey. Must empty ice basket soon after ice is made because it starts to melt, that said I like the texture of the ice...good for crunching cause its kinda wet and not frozen solid!! Saves us having to make a run to the convenience store for ice every weekend. Also shipping was quick and I would not hesitate to use this site again.

I bought one of these about 6 months ago for my home. WE use so much ice that our fridge could not keep up.. This is so wonderful! It does not need to be hooked up to a water supply- we just add water and give it a good cleaning about once a month. I am sooo happy with this that I am buying an additional one for my place of employment as it is so much more convenient than having to buy bags of ice and transport in. I would so recommend this to anyone wanting the ability to have ice on hand almost at a moments notice!

The Ice maker works as advertised. The unit is bigger than I thought it would be. I had to set it up in the garage. It is also heavy for this old lady to move around. The ice melts pretty fast once it's made. If you want to save it, you have to remove it from the unit almost as soon as it's made, because it doesn't keep. However, the unit made enough ice in one day for my small party. I did buy a bag of ice to fill the coolers. I don't have room to store that much ice. Overall, my buying experience was excellent. Fast Delivery. Easy shopping.

This is so much easier than ice cube trays or buying bags of ice. We use ours non stop at home, so it lasts a couple of years. The one we just bought is a little noisier than the first one we bought, but it still works great.

I purchased this Ice Maker for my sons birthday to use in his RV. This is a great Ice Maker. The Haier Portable Ice Maker makes three size cubes very quickly and is easy to operate. I recommend that you run at least two resivoirs of water through prior to using the ice. This gets the plastic taste out of the ice and after that it is great. I have a similar machine and both of them work super. I recommend that you use one gallon bottles of spring water, I pay eighty seven cents per gallon and produce about 2 gallons of ice. When the Ice Maker is full or even each time it drops a fresh batch of ice, use the scoop to fill a one gallon plastic zip lock bag and transfer that to the freezer for storage. You will have plenty of ice for most any occassion.

I purchased this ice maker after my old ice maker quit making ice...and I have to have ice in whatever it is I am drinking. It makes ice very quickly and I have a choice of either small, medium, or large cubes shaped like little barrels. I am going on vacation in April and it is compact enough that I will take it along with me!!!

We bought this machine because the icemaker hose on the back of our refridgerator broke creating water damage to our kitchen floor. We were afraid to hook it back up so decided to buy this machinge. We are very happy with this purchase. I made several batches of ice (with white vinegar) to get rid of the "taste" of the ice but it still has a bit of a "machine taste". I put some lemon juice with the water and that seemed to help. It makes ice very quickly, but ice tends to be more of a wetter ice than dry ice (like you'd get in a bag at a store). We own a motorhome and plan on taking it with us on trips. Overall, I love the convenience of this machine. It sits on the counter perfectly next to the fridge making it handy for use.

We purchased this ice maker for use in our break room. It has done a wonderful job of making ice for about 25 people a day. There was no set up just pluged it in, filled it up, and turned it on. When we went back to check on it we had our first batch of ice. This little machine has exceeded our expectations and I would definitely recommend it. Great product. Great price.
