Seems to make a LOT of ice out of a small amount of water in a very short time. I had so much ice, I had to turn in off after a while.

I purchased the Avanti portable icemaker for my husband's birthday present. We are thrilled with it. I had read the reviews prior to buying and knew I would need to make the ice ahead of time and freeze it so I went on ebay and purchased 7lb drawstring icebags to store the ice in. We can make enough for tailgates and weekends on the houseboat. Best gift idea I can think of for someone who goes through a lot if ice and has the time and planning ability for pre-making the ice. Couldn't be easier to use.

Works as well as advertised, Surprisingly quiet for a compact Ice Maker. Just keep the water coming and this machine will keep pumping out the ice. Generates more than enough ice to keep up with a party of 20-25. No more bags! With the amount of Ice we go through it will pay for itself in 3 months. Can't say enough about this machine!

I purchased this product to curb cost of going to store and paying for ice. It is working well! We RV and it kept up with keeping drink cooler cold and used it to make ice for our labor day bash to not only fill the outside cooler, but kept up with ice for drinks!

This item solved a huge problem for me. I have a rather New Refrigerator, that came with the home I just purchased. Only, NO ICEMAKER. This was a lot more economical and practical, than having an ice machine installed in the refrigerator. It makes ice on demand, in short time. It could have been just a little smaller is my only not so great about it. Otherwise, a Winner.

This portable ice maker is a good product at a great value. It is perfect for the office and the advertisement did not lie when it said that the machine makes ice in less than 10 minutes. The machine does make a little bit of noise, but not enough to dissuade me from being satisfied with my purchase. Overall, this is a very good product and is great for any office or home environment.
