Pros: Multiple Settings, Does Not Jam Up
This portable ice maker is awesome. We have put off replacing our ice maker in our fridge / freezer combo. Plus we do a lot of picnics and go to ballgames and look forward to having the extra ice. This machine makes tons of ice quickly. Just empty the tray frequently into your freezer and you're ready for anything.

Pros: Does Not Jam Up
We bought this for our office and it's worked out perfectly. It always has ice ready to go and gives you lights to indicate when more water is needed or the ice tray is full.

I bought this unit for parties, etc...my wife had surgery and was in need for ice for 5 consecutive days...the unit exceeded by far the needed ice...what a great piece of equipment for the money.

Pros: Makes great ice fast
Cons: Hard to drain unit
Makes the first batch in 20 - 30 min.
After that it is very fast.
It should have it's own electric outlet.
Works really great.
Draining excess water out is hard. drain plug is low to surface. I find it best to pick unit up and drain at sink. This is the ONLY thing I don't like about the unit.

Great compact little unit. Ingenious design catches the cubes above the water tank, so if they melt, the water drips back down into the storage tank. Produces ice FAST - we had our first batch in 6 minutes and the bin was full in an hour. Love it!

Exceptional value for a good little work horse. Don't know how I lived without it - makes entertaining so much easier. I use it extensively for office meetings and lectures and really appreciate the portability, convenience and output.

I live in Florida so I am used to the sound of fans. This only has one fan and I consider it quiet. I recommend it to anyone that uses lots of ice (hello florida heat) or for entertaining.

Cons: It's too heavy for me to carry around
We live in the country and use well water so I don't want to use a built-in ice maker in the freezer. This unit is just what we needed. It makes ice quickly. It's too heavy for me (a senior citizen) to move around so I bought a metal cart for it to sit on and now I can move it whenever and wherever I want to use it. We love the ice cubes it makes. I guarantee you won't be disappointed with the Edgestar Ice Maker.

I needed an ice maker for a wet bar I have in my house but I didn't want to hassle with hooking an ice maker up to a water line. This little unit saved the day. I just pour water in and I have ice for my buddies in minutes.

This is a great product!! Makes ice fast! I use it for my bar and whenever my family travels in our RV. Its stainless and matches our other appliances so I do not have put under the counter. Great alternative to ice trays and will recommend to my friends.

This little unit works great.. But I did not realize that it is not a freezer. Does not store the ice. Once it is made, it eventually melts and the ice has to reform. It's great if you are constantly using the ice.. But not if you want to store it.
