Pros: Heats the Whole Room, Quiet, Energy Efficient
We now have three of these in guest rooms at our B&B. They're terrific units with good features that are easy to use and understand by guests. So far not one complaint, which isn't true of other units we have. The units also do the job quietly and without a fuss.
I was also really pleased with the whole experience from Compact Appliance. I will absolutely buy the other units we need from them.

Cons: Louvers not very useful
Have had this unit as sole source of heat and cooling in approx 400 sqft barn office for approx 6 mos. A/C does great on energy efficient setting. Heat does good at maintaining the temperature, but it blows all the time so when heat is not actually on, it blows cold air, which generally creates a draft in the room and the direction of the air cannot be controlled very well. But again, it does maintain the temperature well. The unit is starting to rattle which I will get checked out when the weather warms up a bit since it is my main source of heat.

We just got it installed... no real use yet. However I am impressed by the gentle heat and cooling. It is quite quiet as well. A good purchase I think. It was a bit too short to fit the sleeve from our old through the wall air conditioner; that took some work. Overall I am impressed at this point.
Be careful to write down the serial number before you install as it is covered up after installation. We couldn't get to it for the product registration... Too bad.

I'm using this product as a supplement ac/heater unit for our sun room. It has good power to heat or cool a room in short time. There is an energy mode to where it will shutdown the the AC when it is not needed. In heater mode, this is not available. When the dialed temperature is reached, the fan is still on.

I condition my whole weekend ranch house with this unit. The house totals around 400 sf. While the cooling does a wonderful job in the main room (that's all I can expect) and a servicable job of the remainder of the house, the heat needs to be supplemented in the outer rooms in winter time. It is somewhat loud and the energy saver mode seems to short cycle, ie. kicks on every 10 minutes and runs for 3... Seems to be more "timed" than thermostat driven. All in all it is a very good unit expecially for the price.
