Best Uses: Small Kitchen, Camping / Hunting / RV, Dorm Room
We live on board our boat and have had a hard time with refrigeration until the Engel. It has not changed the charging of our batteries at all, the current consumption of the unit is less than 2.5 amps and so far at less than a 50% duty cycle. I LOVE MY ENGEL!!!!

Pros: Holds Temperature Well, Energy Efficient, Quiet, Easy Access
Although expensive, you get what you pay for. In this case a real refrig/freezer dual voltage capable durable unit. Dont waste your money on the really cheap 12v coolers out there, they wont work very well. Invest in one of these. This unit is pretty heavy but moving it while empty isnt too bad.[...]
