Best Uses: Replacement Equipment
The A/C was received in good shape and very quickly. I purchased it in January so I have only been able to test it for general functions and not for any length of time. It seems to work fine and is very quiet compared to the large wall unit I am replacing. It will be used in my summer house by a lake and is replacing one of the same BTU. Hopefully I will be installing it before the initial warrantee is over. It will be tested well in the summer.

I purchased this for a Christmas gift and haven't yet had a chance to fully test it, since I had to wrap it back up! However, the delivery was very fast, the box and product arrived in great condition and I was able to open it up and test it to make sure it worked. It's awesome looking and immediately started working well.
I did a lot of research and found this to be an excellent price for this particular unit!

This unit is being used in a 12X20 Florida room. It works really good in the afternoon after the hottest sun has gone down. The unit does draw a lot of power and when I run the microwave in the kitchen and the a/c unit it pops the breaker.

Main a/c went out in house. Could not afford the whole house replacement at this time. This unit has helped keep us cool.
We are in FLORIDA and the temps have been upper 90s. This
unit has helped take the humidity out of the air and keep the main
part of the house much cooler. We have been able to make it
through the worst of the hot summer. We use several fans to
circulate the cool air through the rest of the house.

Purchased this product to replace an 8,000 BTU in our bedroom. It cools nicely with very little noise for a portable unit. Set up was easy. Look of the unit is very sleek. The vents close automatically when not in use. Lots of features -- automatic timer, remote control, easy climate control. I would definitely recommend this unit.

We needed a portable AC unit for our church's bride room which is on the second floor of the sanctuary. The room size is about 18' x 30' and very warm. This 14,000 BTU unit has performed exceptionally well. It was simple to install. The brides now stay cool before their big day. Our recommendation is don't get a portable AC unit that is too small.

Looked at similar products at local retail stores. Sales representative could not answer question. This lady had an answer to every question, and it proved to be the right answer. Bought unit for hurricane season but after initial "checking it out", decided to keep it out. Don't have to use the central unit as much. Keeps about 700 sf space cooled and very confortable. Quiet, easy to operate, more than I expected and even more than the company representative said it woud be. Will be purchasing a second unit soon.

This review is for only three weeks of use. We are using this unit as a supplement to a 24000 BTU mini-split system to cool an area about 1000 sq.ft. this area took the single mini-split system too long to cool on hot days in July and August. This second 14,000 BTU unit allows for much quicker cooling and colder temperatures. We are pleased overall. Possible improvements would include less noise and a smaller size. Good features include intuitive remote control and attractive appearance.

I put this unit in the kitchen of my restaurant and it has put an end to a revolt from my employees. It supplemented my existing A/C and has made a world of difference. Peace again in my kitchen. Now get back to work.......

I purchased this for my son's bedroom which gets a lot of sun and heat during the summer despite having central air conditioning in the home. He loves it; it was very easy to install even though the bedroom window is a casement window - just use plexi glass and install the window component vertically rather than horizontally. Not sure about the impact on our electric bill yet. It is a little noisy but then again it drowns out the sound of his laptop computer playing music or watching movies!

We were delighted to find the unit easy to set up and use. The noise level is no louder than any other compact A/C that I have ever used and quieter than most. the swing feature is great and helps cool the area efficiently. I would definately reccomend this product to anyone.

This airconditioner really surprised me. it was not nearly as noisy as some others ahve stated and it cooled extremely well. We have an area almost 600 square feet and it cooled off in less than a half an hour. The unit seems well constructed. The remote seems a little confusing because none of the buttons stands out but I'll get used to it. For the price, this unit can't be beat!

Best Uses: Bed Room cooling
I LOVE this a/c unit! I had purchased a smaller one this summer, thinking that I would enjoy having more space in my bedroom, where I need a portable (my windows are 72 x 55 sliders, and a window a/c unit just won't work.) I was EXTREMELY disappointed in a previous unit I bought - it leaked, I had to put it on a table to drain it, and it just didn't work! Returned it and bought THIS unit online....and I am in heaven! It was delivered to my door within days, was easy to install, and POURED OUT THE MOST HEAVENLY cool air within minutes! I am so happy. The unit is slimmer than those I've seen before, and it really packs a punch with the cold air. I can cool off my bedroom, then open the door and direct the cool air into my living area (one bedroom apt). It takes the edge off the whole place, and we've had a VERY hot summer up here in the Northland.
It's not too noisy, either, and I haven't had to drain it at all.
I like that you can set the timer, and the sleep timer is very cool too. It starts out at the temp you set, then gradually goes up a little (so it's not TOO cold for sleeping), then goes back down after 7 hours. Very nice.
I would highly recommend this unit - for the money, it's well worth it, and the quick service I got was outstanding!

Works as well or better as hoped for...
I live in a small mobile home 10x55 with a cathedral ceiling,an all aluminum exterior with thin insulated walls and a poorly insulated ceiling. Basically, the worst scenario for a air conditioner to work well. I purchased this unit During the biggest heat wave of the summer with 95 degree heat and high humidity days, It was Murder.
I unpacked the unit, set it up within 20 minutes and had it pumping out cold air, I was hoping for a miracle and give me some relief. It ran and ran and ran set at 72 degrees for several hours trying to take out all of the humidity and heat...I added a few house fans around the room to help circulate the air. It was working overtime to try and do it's job...I was starting to wonder if I made a mistake in this purchase.
So before giving up.... I wanted to try a few things to help it out, 1st, I divided the mobile home in half by just placing a full length curtain in the hallway to keep the cool air to the front forward portion of the house. Thinking that this hot box of a home was just a nightmare to try and cool...the inside temperature at this point was reading 100 degrees.
But it wasn't till I divided the house in half that I started to feel relief, within a few hours I had the front portion of the house down to 82 degrees and it was beginning not to feel humid which made it even feel cooler.
So under the worst conditions, I've cut down my sq. footage to about 300 sq ft and cooling nicely now, after about 3 days of continuous running and the evening temp dropping, the air cond was able to finally catch up and cool the place quite nicely....I have it at 72 degrees now during the day, as the heat of the day towards 2:00 in the afternoon it starts to get a little warmer inside...about 76 to 78, but still livable but thats with the outside heat at 95. Now, on days that it's only 85 to 80 degrees or lower....I can get the inside of my place nice and chilly.
So in short...This baby really pumps out the cold air...But if your going to over work it, be patient, help it out. great for days not over 85 and no more sq ft of about 400 I would say to cool nicely, maybe a little more sq footage if your insulated well.
I definitely recommend this unit...Oh, I also purchased the 5 yr warranty, knowing I'm gonna give this baby a Heavy duty work out, I figured for the extra 100 bucks, it was well worth it...thats 20 bucks a year for a little security just in case something goes wrong with it.
