This LG machine is fantastic. It washes and dries with quality. Yes, the dry cycle is long, but it works well enough. It spins quietly enough that my downstairs neighbor can't even hear it during full spin. If there is a minor (very minor) downside is that the drier lint gets expelled into the sink drain. My very old pipes were quickly clogged and I needed a plumber to come out and dig out the lint ball. Now that I know this, I have a heavy-duty sink strainer to filter things and all is good. If you can possibly run the water drain outside, you'll be better off.
But overall, this is a fantastic machine and a really great solution for folks who live in apartments or condos.

My boyfriend convinced me to get this washer/dryer combo. It is the best decision I've made! PRO'S: 1. I can put a load in and go to sleep, go hang out with friends, or go to work and when I wake or get home it is done. If the clothes is a little damp I just put it to dry for a couple of more minutes. 2. It is easy to set to wash and dry the clothes. Yes it might seem like it takes a long time, but you have to remember that it is washing and drying in one machine. Not like you are taking a load out to put in the dryer and then putting another load in the washer. 3. It is space saving, I don't have room for a dryer, I live in an apartment. 4. It don't have a vent, so don't need to put it near a window. 5. Easy to install. 6. Its a regular plug, so you don't have to get your socket changed. CON'S: 1. After a load is done have to clean out lint that accumulated around the door of washer. 2. I live in an apartment building, the washer was delivered by Old Dominion. They only do curbside delivery, so you are responsible to get the washer to your apartment. If you live in a house then it's ok, other than that you have to find a way to get it to your apartment. 3. When it is done and cooling down it takes awhile to cool, the door will not open. You have to just spin the knob and it will open. This doesn't bother me though, I think it's a safety thing.

I checked all the reviews before my purchase, and glad to see they were quite accurate. Easy install, great look, not noisy. The cycle is quite long and the clothes do come out a bit damp to the touch, you set them out or hang them which I usually do and they' re dry in no time but much better than burning my self as I used to before. This was a great purchase, really happy.

I love this machine. Works great, cuts out a whole step of each laundry load. No problem with drying. And the machine itself is beautiful and saves a ton of space over having separate washer and dryer. You can't go wrong with this machine.

Before I had this machine I was rewashing clothes constantly. Now I never have to rewash. I never forget to take my clothes out of the washer and put them into the dryer, because it dries it for me! It is also washing my clothes better than the washer was. I love this machine!

First impression is absolutely great machine but I can't say anything a long term yet. One thing to consider though. On one hand - you have a perfect situation when you put your laundry in, set your programs for washer and dryer and go out or to do shopping and when you come back, everything is already done for you except folding it. On the other hand, all those machines have natural fibers laundry slightly damp after drying (synthetics are a different story). Always. Best thing is to use an extra speed for spin and dry for about an hour. It will still be a bit damp but if you just take it out and spread it on your laundry table and let it "breathe" for a while, it will be ready for a folding shortly. (Full cycle like this takes about 1.7-1.8 kph of energy, by the way). But if you want your cotton t-shirts always crispy-dry all the times - you will not get it out of any of those machines with condensing drying function (e.t. ventless ones).

This Washer Dryer Combo exceeds ALL my expectations. It is a marvel. Whisper-quiet and extremely efficient, it cleans our washables infinitely better than any top-loading washer, occupies a very small "footprint," and is incredibly easy to set up and install. The only assistance I needed from Living Direct was in providing proof to our landlord that the machine is so very efficient that it uses no more power than a microwave or window air conditioner. They sent me the info within minutes of my phone call, and were extremely pleasant to me. My daughter & I recently moved into an apt without a washer/dryer hook up. I looked around & ended up purchasing the LG 22lb combo model. Compact Appliance had the BEST deal around & it shipped right away. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this machine.. We roll it out & hook it up to our sink as we need it. It is NOT noisy, my clothes come out dry & i've had NO wrinkle issues. It takes about 2-2 1/2 hrs for complete cycle but so do most front loaders. I have recommended this machine to all friends as it has been a life saver for me... NO LAUNDRY MAT... :)

great product, great wash, works like a Swiss watch, the only thing is that drying can take up your whole day, so you put the load in and take it out at the end of the day. My wife insisted buying this for our newborn's cloths, we ended up washing our clothes in there too, that's how good it is....but again dry can take 2-6 hours depending on the load.

I live in a one bedroom apartment and sometimes work two to three weeks straight, so getting to the laundry mat was quite a challenge for me. Once I was there I would have to decide what was my priority because not only was I limited on time but I would have to wait for someone else to finish with their laundry in order to do mine. I had to walk down a flight of staires, carrying baskets full of laundry and carry them back up, so finding out about this product was very exciting for me.
At first, I was very skeptical about this purchase, but I decided to take a chance . I received my compact washer/dryer Oct 13, 2011 and with a little help from my friend, we put it togther in no time at all.
The first time i put in a load of clothes.it took me by surprise I didn't quite know what to expect. It kinda a freaked me out a bit because it took so long to complete the cycle. Here I am thinking to myself OMG what did I get myself into.But as I continued to do more loads I figued it out, and I fell in love with this machine. My frends all want one now, cuz I continue to rave about it. I bought the 22 lb size so I am also able to wash my comforter without any trouble at all. Make sure you take the clothes out before they are completly dry because they will wrinkle. This machine has saved me from walking up and down the stairs and risking taking a fall and from all the time I would have to waste at the laundry mat. I reommend this to anyone that has a very busy scehdule as I have or has a situation like the stair climbing problem and waiting problem that i had.. I love this product and the fact that it washes and dries in the same machine is a life saver.

Works well but takes somewhat longer than a conventional washing machine. With the portability kit installed it tends to go out of balance even when it is completely level. Washer does a great job, clothes come out perfect. Drying cycle works very well but also take a little longer than a conventional dryer.

This isn't my first washer dryer combo, so I knew what I was buying. This is larger than my old one. I'm pleased with the size of this one. I don't do the entire cycle very often. When I'm washing towels, I'll do the wash, and extra spin. I then hang the towels over a drying rack. They dry pretty quickly. I then toss them back in the machine, and put the dryer cycle on for 30 minutes to fluff them up before putting them away.
For most of my clothes I take them out when they're damp, having had them in dry for 30 - 45 minutes. I put them on hangers while still damp, and they dry wrinkle free. Ironing is against my religion, so that's important to me ;-).

Why have a separate dryer when ya don't need it? Only downfall is if your in a hurry, ya might want to not wait on an outfit to complete it's wash/dry cycle. Personally never had an instance where I needed clothes that bad.

I purchased my washer/dryer combo about a month ago and have absolutely loved it! I read many reviews before deciding to purchase and was appreciative of comments/warnings.
The washer does take 2.5-5 hours to do a full load depending on the size but I was aware of that and have no problem since I place a load in before I go to sleep and it's clean and dry when I wake up.
This type of dryer does dry differently than traditional air dryers. I find it dries perfectly well if you wash with similar fabrics and let it sit for a while after completing a cycle (they don't come out wrinkled like they would if you let them sit in an air dryer). If they are a bit damp when taken out I find if I shake each article of clothing two or three times the water evaporates and my clothes are dry (it is kind of odd how damp it feels and how quickly it dries-this has only happened when I washed different fabrics- sheets and socks, the socks didn't completely dry). They are also remarkably softer, except towels (oddly enough) which I use a bit of fabric softener for.
I use the washer/dryer sink hook ups and have been quite pleased. It is a bit difficult for me to pop off the hookup after completing a load but I have gotten used to it (also if you have a sink sprayer separate from the sink spraying the excess water through that releases some of the pressure and makes it easier to unhook. I do love how it makes my house smell fresh and clean after completing a cycle.
I wasn't sure how much this washer would hold but it holds quite a bit more than I expected. I loaded the washer about 3/4 full (they say to only load 1/2 if you want it to dry completely) and it washed and dried just fine just took a bit longer 4.5 hours.
I use high efficiency detergent and have had no problems. I use less than half of what I would use with normal detergent and have had no problems.
I have had some clothing stained with punch, grass, etc. and all have come out just fine.
My washer/dryer combo is on casters and does rock a bit but not much more than a regular washer I have left things on top and they haven't been rocked off. I don't think it is any louder either (the user manual does say to make sure you have removed the shipping bolts because that can make the washer considerably louder).
I do live in a small space and was worried about the space, noise, etc. This washer is very easy to manuever with casters (w/o them it is extremely heavy). And it is appealing to the eye, it looks professional and sturdy.
I really have loved this washer/dryer. I feel my clothes come out clean and beautiful and even softer than a regular washer and I have not missed the laundromat or having to move my clothes from the washer to the dryer one bit. I have found the washer easy to use with a plethora of settings to meet my needs. Ample instructions and an extremely friendly and helpful customer service line. As far as longevity I am not sure, I bought the five year extended warranty because I do expect it to last a while. If it doesn't I'll let you know. So far it's wonderful, everything I expected and worth every penny don't go for the cheap washer/dryers like Haier or Thor, just not worth it. Good Luck!

We purchased this close to a year ago and still love it. it fits in our closet and doesn't require venting just a water line. The only draw back to most could be the drying cycle and the load amount. There is only two of us and we use it 3 to 4 times per week and these are 1/2 loads compared to regular washers and dryers. You could pack in more if you were not going to dry and hang. We dry and take out when damp the hang them up in closet so it is great for us. I do not notice more wrinkles but as I said we take them out lightly damped. It is so simple to use IF you read all the directions first guys!!! You can damage your washer/dryer if you dont!! Its beautiful, very quite and we are so happy we bought it!! Not for big families but great for people who dont need the load right away as the complete cycle wash to dry is about 3 to 4 hours depending on clothes. Best Wishes!

This is my second washer dryer combination appliance, and I am very pleased with this purchase. I was a little nervous about buying another washer dryer combo because I had a bad experience with an Equator brand several years ago. That washer/dryer had a MUCH smaller capacity, and while I was pleased with the quality of the overall cleanliness of each wash, I have to say that the machine always leaked, flooded my hardwood floors, and each washing option stopped working over a period of about a year.
I live in a condo, and I have room for a stackable washer/dryer, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy one because they don't have much capacity, are not particularly energy efficient, and they tend to shrink clothing items. I've been doing a lot of research on washer dryer combos and I came to the conclusion that I had to give this type of appliance another chance. I found the LG 22 lb. capacity model about three months ago, and I decided that I was ready to give an all in one unit another try. I'm so glad I did.
My LG washer dryer combo cleans better than commercial washers do. Yes, really. It uses a minimum of water and a minimum of energy. In fact, this model will only cost me about $14 more each year than what I pay now. My new LG hardly makes a sound when it's running. Now I know why it plays music at the end of a complete cycle: it's because if it didn't, the clothes would just sit there because the machine is so quiet.
If you decide to purchase an LG washer dryer combo, be aware that it will take longer than what you are used to when the dryer function is being used. You will also have to clean the filter twice a month, and be prepared to wipe down the rubber gasket every couple of washes. I wipe mine down after each wash, but only because I want to.
So far, no leaks; no break-downs; no floods; no wishing for a larger capacity washer dryer. The warranty is excellent; my clothes are beyond clean and no shrinkage has occurred. If you are in the market for a washer dryer combination appliance, and even if you are not, I don't think you could do better than purchasing an LG 22 pound capacity machine.
I live in a condo, and I have room for a stackable washer/dryer, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy one because they don't have much capacity, are not particularly energy efficient, and they tend to shrink clothing items. Well, this is Saturday and I received my LG Washer/Dryer combo on Wednesday. It has been running pretty steady since I got the wheels on and stood it up! I ordered this machine because I do not have a washer/dryer hookup in my apartment. I was tired of my clothes getting ruined at the laundry mat and apartment pay washer/dryers. I ordered this model due to the load capacity. LG does not make this item portable, but Compact Appliances has obtained heavy duty wheels that allow this machine to easily be moved to a sink so that it can be hooked up and used. This item is a bit expensive, but I figure it will pay for itself in a year and a half just in the $20 weekly I was spending to do laundry. It takes a little extra time for drying, especially towels, but as long as you are aware of that, it doesn't matter. My machine did vibrate a bit, but I just had to adjust the casters, and that solved that problem. I am totally thrilled with this machine and would, and have, suggested its purchase to anyone looking for a similar appliance!

This machine works great. However, I had uneven kitchen flooring and had to by pads, stairwell plastic to protect the pads, and nylon reinforced tape, to secure it all down. This eliminated almost all the vibrations, which occur a slower spin speeds. The hookup to the kitchen faucet needs a pressure release valve. Since it does not have this I must loosen a hot or cold hose to release the pressure, so that I can pop off the connector. All in all, I am very well satisfied. The washer can handle pretty big loads, without overloading. Also it spins so fast, many of the clothes just need to be laid out for a short time to dry, without using the dryer cycle. All in all, I say it is a terrific machine.
