Pleasantly surprised! Great product for anyone without access to a washing machine. The only downside is having to wring out the clothes by hand, but that's nothing compared to having clean clothes.

We are FT students living in an apartment and laundry had become very time consuming. Enter the WonderWash! It is very easy to assemble and use. And our clothes have never been cleaner! The most time-consuming part is wringing the clothes dry. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants a quick way to thoroughly wash a small load of laundry.
The only negative comment about this product is the parts are all plastic and, in my experience, not the sturdiest. The base is not as secure as I would like and the motion needed to turn the crank warrants stronger materials.
That being said, this item went beyond my expectations and I would purchase it again:)

My procedure for using the washer:
1. Sort clothes according to importance. Most important clothes on top. (Most likely they won't all fit in one load.)
2. Run the shower until the the water reaches maximum temperature, then shut off the water.
3. Place the washer below the shower head.
4. Add 2 oz of detergent
5. Fill the machine halfway with hot water.
6. Add clothes until the machine is full and tighten the lid.
7. Crank once per second for 2 minutes.
8. Remove the lid and attach the drain pipe.
9. Rinse with cold water until there are no more suds exiting the machine. (Cold water saves energy.)
10. Switch back to hot water and wait until the water coming out of the machine is hot. (Hot final rinse is more thorough and facilitates drying.)
11. Remove the drain pipe and refill the machine all the way to the top with hot water.
12. Wring clothes a little before loading them into the Laundry Alternative Spin Dryer.

I couldn't be more pleased with my new wonder washer. I have been saved from laundramat syndrome! I am single and live in an efficiency apartment. It is perfect for one person. I place the washer on a small table in my shower. I fill the washer with my shower head. When I'm finished washing and rinsing I simply insert the drain tube and drain the water into the shower. Great quality product for the money.

Thanks to this washing machine and a clothes line, we were able to cut out laundry from our budget completely! We live in an apt complex and it sits by the sink in our kitchen. I've been using it for about 5 weeks and it handles 2 full-size towels, 3-4 adult shirts, 15 cloth diapers, or 15 baby cloth items (clothes, rags, etc) in one load. In 30 minutes I've washed, rinsed, and hung up a load. I'm very pleased and I'm getting such a good workout with alternating my arms that I'm already toning up, too! Great for apt living; great for being green; great for price AND saving $$ otherwise, too! I tell lots of people about it, especially since most of our friends live at the laundromat the way we used to do. Also, assembly was so easy- just follow the pictures. It's not heavy at all and a full load is clean in 2 minutes and another 2 minutes to rinse, then wring out and hang up!

When I purchased it, I was under the impression that somehow this washer would be turning - revolving - on its own. I was surprised I had to do that by hand. Then I used a lot of detergent, thinking, to make it more efficient; thought that a hand operating washer would not be as much efficient as suppose to. Clothes came out very clean. I noticed one more important factor, I think you need to add in the instructions paper: after I fill the washer with water and seal it at the top, I release as much water can come out from the bottom; not much comes out, because washer is sealed at the top, but the little water quantity that comes out makes the washing airless and vacuum works better. This is the trick I wanted to enlighten you with and I think it makes this washing more efficient. Anyway, I love this washer, but I am of a “simplifying-life” mentality. I wonder how many others are of the same mentality and would like this washer. THNX.

i have used my wonderwash several times...it is very easy to use and very compact. it works great on my husbands military uniforms. i am able to do all the laundry in my home in this machine, except for the comforter on my bed. i would recommend that if you purchase this product you also invest in something to wring out your clothes after you wash them. i am a very petite person and i do not have a lot of arm/hand strength, so once the clothes are clean it is difficult for me to wring them out to dry. also, with a baby on the way, it is not a great idea for me to strain. i purchased a "mini countertop spin dryer" from the same company who makes the wonderwash, it will be here today, i will be sure to share my thoughts on that product once i have used it.
i can say however, that the overall expense of these machines has more than paid for themselves. no more driving to and from the laundry mat with gas prices so high, and no more wasting money on machines that sometimes do not work properly, and you end up washing your clothes twice. thank you whoever invented these products. i'm glad to do my part in helping the "green" nation. including the green in my pocket!

I was looking for a way to do my own laundry, being in an apartment building with no laundry facilities. Working two jobs, I don't have time to haul my dirty, stinky clothing down two flights of stairs and down the street to the laundry mat that isn't even open past 7pm. So I stumbled upon this little energy-saving gem, and I really love it!
I usually wear my clothes at least twice before washing them (unless, of course, they get extra dirty) Doing small loads at a time, I can keep up on the laundry that I need to wear pretty easily, and this little machine holds a surprising amount. The only issue I have is that I have no outside line to dry, I have to put a pop-up rack up with a towel under it and a fan on the clothes. This limits how much I can do, since there isn't much room on the drying rack.
It only takes a few minutes, really. I put some soap in, fill it with water in the bathtub, throw the clothes in, and turn the crank for about a minute, sometimes alternating direction. Then I just pull them out, dump out the dirty water, put them back in and fill it with clean water to rinse them out. I turn it a few times, pull the clothes out, wring them, and hang them up to dry.
It really works well, I think. My clothes get clean, I don't have to waste the time, energy, or money to clean them, and I feel like I'm really doing something rather than waiting for some machine that takes forever and damages my clothes.
I would highly recommend this for anyone who has one-two people, not for big families. It would also be a great alternative to take along with you for camping or road trips.

What a good idea! It really gets clothes clean in just 2 minutes! And best of all saves me the $2 a load cost of a laundromat. I do find it difficult to wring out towels and sheets after rinsing....but will save my money and get the auto spin machine next .

Save your money on constantly going to the laundromat. This is a great item for in-between. You'll end up going to the laundromat less, and this product will pay for itself.
Instructions didn't really include much info. Assembly was very simple. But, determining laundry weight = water measurement....eh.. but, I've figured it out for my needs.
If you have stains, or food stuck on the item to be washed, pretreat it or you'll have to wash it a couple of times.
The WonderWash is amazing. Not only for campers, but def. for every household. Prewash items, wash items you don't want going in with your regular laundry. Saves water, and energy, detergent and it's fun to use.
I have washed everything. Towels (2 at a time), jeans, sweaters, sheets, socks, etc. It's uses are almost limitless. Except for really large items, like blankets or comforters. It's also good for presoaking items.

I read many of the reviews that I could find on the internet regarding the Wonder Wash prior to purchasing my unit. I find that this little machine lives up to everything that people were saying about it.
I am living on a limited budget, being a single mom and have recently returned to college. I was looking for something to help cut the costs of washing clothes ALL THE TIME. I have a 16 year old son, and he goes through athletic and undergarment clothing like there is no tomorrow.
Since this is relatively small in size, definitely portable, and requires absolutely NO electricity...I would recommend this to anyone that has similar needs. Also, this will be perfect when we camp as a family, or go on a road trip and won't want to take many items of clothing (we can wash and hang dry for just a teaspoon's worth of laundry soap and some warm water).
RECOMMENDED FOR:
* Singles with small loads of wash

Saw the reviews and thought maybe this could help me lessen trips to the horrible laundromat. Wow! This little thing works great and is much easier to use than I expected. Didn't even need the instructions for assembly and I am a "girlie-girl" with no mechanical ability. Used as instructed with water qty. and used less detergent than called for, after reading many reviews. Takes about 1.5 minutes to wash, turning 30 times, and I use 2 rinses, turning 30 times each. Total, 5 minutes. I squeeze out the clothes and put in the little "spin dryer" (electric) and in 2 more minutes, the clothes are damp-dry. I hang them in the bathroom with a fan blowing on them for an hour (2 for heavier items) and voila!, clean laundry! Note: the spin dryer holds half of what the wonderwash holds, so it takes 2 cycles to spin, but I hang the first group while the second group spins. Very convenient for a tiny home, apt., studio, etc. Love it and recommend it highly (with the little spin dryer) for small living spaces. I will still use the laundromat for very heavy items, towels and bedding, but for my everyday wear, a few minutes after work, hang, and in the morning, clean clothes!
